The Piedmont Area High Performance Manufacturing Association (HPMA) cordially invites you to their next HPMA tour and dinner event from 4:30 until 8 pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at The Chair City MAKERspace, 17 E. Main St., Thomasville, NC 27360. You are encouraged to arrive no later than 5:30 since this is a "hands on" event!
The Chair City MAKERspace is a 501c3 non-profit whose mission is to promote and facilitate the MAKER movement in Thomasville, NC and Davidson County. Their community has a rich history of craftsmanship and production capabilities and they want to celebrate its revival! Located at the historic T. Austin Finch House, our MAKERspace was born out of the desire from local leaders to celebrate and teach the next generation the craftmanship that has made Thomasville a household name all over the world.
They are excited to host the next HPMA event where participants will work in teams building chairs made from kits created by local high school students. The theme of the evening will be “Lean Production” and we hope the hands-on experience will help us all think and produce in a more efficient manner.
