Thomasville was seeing red, white and blue this summer!

As part of Thomasville’s celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, local businesses were invited to show off their creativity and community spirit in the 2026 Patriotic Business Decorating Contest. From storefront windows and historic buildings to flowers, flags, bunting and some seriously creative displays, our businesses answered the call in a BIG way.

The contest was about more than decorating. It was a chance for our community to come together, celebrate our country’s history and fill Thomasville with patriotic spirit as we look ahead to the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Thomasville Businesses Went All Out

Each participating business brought its own personality to the contest, and we loved seeing just how different every display turned out.

Southern Treasures transformed its storefront and shop into a red, white and blue showcase filled with American flags, patriotic accents and plenty of Southern charm.

Winner’s Circle carried the theme from the outside in, wrapping columns in red, white and blue and creating a standout American flag display using cups inside the shop.

Renewed & Co. put an artistic spin on Americana, incorporating fashion, flowers, artwork and a beautifully draped American flag through gold frames for a display that felt completely unique to the business.

Wendy Hill and The Gate brought patriotic touches throughout the property, from bunting and flags across the building to decorated planters, stars and even a very festive red, white and blue goose!

Average Joe’s Bar and Tap turned its storefront windows into works of art with hand-painted patriotic scenes honoring Memorial Day, freedom and the brave men and women who have served our country.

Blaze Beauty brought some extra sparkle to the celebration with flags, bunting, red and blue disco balls and patriotic decorations throughout the salon.

BL Makers Market filled its historic space with Americana, featuring patriotic quilts, pillows, handmade goods, flags and bunting both inside and outside the building.

Get Up and Glo dressed its beautiful historic building in classic patriotic style with vintage-inspired bunting, stars, flowers and red, white and blue details throughout the property.

Every entry brought something different to the contest, and that was exactly what made it so much fun.
