The smell of the rain, the kaleidoscope of colors are emerging and this season we call spring is upon us. Come along with us as we embark on a new journey and welcome spring in the city of Thomasville. You may wander among the buds on the trees or the flowers taking their place as they begin to display their beauty. The uniqueness of our murals await your visits and our Historical Walks are here to journey upon.

Get ready to mark your calendars with what this city has promised to be a great season filled with adventure. Are you looking for a 5k, an Easter Bunny or a Movie at PACE Park? Are you a Train Seeker or an Easter Egg Hunter? Perhaps you enjoy Outdoor Shopping Events or Time On A Farm. Visit The Davidson County Airport for a two day Aviators Rendezvous. Community Parks, is that your thing? Well, then Party In The Park is for you! Thomasville Tourism is the hub of all the exciting new events heading your way. #THOMASVILLEGO

David Yemm has put together a wonderful video welcoming spring to our city and we invite you to also consider our beautiful murals as the weather continues to warm our city. You can find more information about those by clicking Murals.

Do you enjoy learning local history? Register today for a walk of the historic churches in Thomasville conducted by Jarrod Dunbar, Thomasville Tourism Director. This .82 mile church walk passes several of the city’s sites of former churches that were used as makeshift hospitals during the Civil War. This route also passes some historic buildings in the Randolph Street Historic District.

NOTE: The walk will begin and end at Chair City Tavern, 11 E Main St, Thomasville and please keep in mind that the pedestrian underpass at the railroad tracks has steps. The registration fee includes a $15.00 voucher for a meal at Chair City Tavern that evening. Registered participants will be contacted on how to receive their ticket and food voucher. Limited space available.

Do you know all of the history of the historic homes in Thomasville, NC. If not, register today for a walk of the historic homes and learn the history about them. Jarrod Dunbar, Thomasville Tourism Director will conduct the .87 mile historic homes walk through the Salem Street Historic District.

NOTE: The walk will begin at the North State Parking Lot, 25 Salem St, Thomasville, NC and will end with a breakfast meal at JJ’s Side Street Deli. The registration fee includes a $8.00 voucher for breakfast. Registered participants will be contacted on how to obtain your ticket and voucher for that day. Limited space available. Rain Date: 4/20/19

So as we welcome spring, we welcome the beginning of a new season. A season that has the makings to be memorable! The Thomasville Tourism Commission has implemented an interactive Events Calendar enabling all our partners in the Davidson County area to upload all the amazing events created just for you. This calendar gives you, our community and visitors the ability to print out a PDF version or download our calendar to your device.
